What is Rudra Pooja
Rudra Pooja, where Lord Shiva is worshiped in his Rudra form, is hailed by all Vedic scriptures as one of the greatest Poojas to remove all
evils, to attain all desires and for all round prosperity.
As per ancient texts when Lord Vishnu was incarnated as Sri Rama, Lord established Shiva Lingam at Rameshwaram before crossing the sea.
He performed Rudrabhishek to express his devotion towards Lord Siva.
Why ??
The whole world is a play of energy,negative or positive.When we pray to Shiva ,the lord of transformation ,through this Pooja,the negative energy in and around us in the form of disease,tensions,unhappiness gets transformed into peace,prosperity and happiness.
How ?
Each ancient mantra that is chanted in this pooja gets absorbed in specific materials like curd,milk,ghee,honey etc.This is then offered
to Shiva with reverence,love and gratitude.Specially trained Pundits and Veda Students from Bangalore Ashram perform this special Puja.
When ??
Shraavan is a special month for Shiva .It is believed that the Rudra Pooja performed in this month has manifold effect
on the Sankalpas that we make
